04About me

A path from scientific inquiry to human connection.

I bring together clinical work, clinician education, and a deep curiosity about how people make meaning and move forward.

01 A story of changing direction

Curiosity has been a constant.

Before entering psychotherapy, I worked in scientific research. I earned a doctorate in physics/astrophysics and spent years in scientific and teaching roles, including work and study in Italy, before changing careers toward mental health.

I earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2005. I began working in mental health in 2003 and joined Kaiser Permanente in 2014.

At Kaiser, I developed a Spanish bilingual training specialty beginning in 2016. My professional experience includes clinical practice, EMDR education, and consultation with therapists.

I believe good learning makes room for questions, context, and the person behind the practice.
